On Thursday we got back home from Ruatoria.
My family and I had spent 3 days, 2 nights over there.
It was my grandad’s funeral.
That whole week went by in a blur. Since grandad’s death, I’ve been feeling a lot of different emotions. Too many to explain. I don’t mean to go all emo, but I’m sure some people can relate.
I start school tomorrow. After having a week off, I’m sure I’ll be bombarded with questions.
Hooray.
It was kinda cool spending time with family up the coast. I even started talking in a coastie accent
The east coast is beautiful. My grandad was lucky to have grown up in such an awesome place. Some day, I want to build myself a bach up the coast. Even though it’d be nice to live in a big city, sometimes it feels good to lose yourself in country life.
It was a sad week for me. I didn’t want to talk to anyone.
I loved my grandad. Very, very much. I know he’s still here, watching over me and my family. He had a wicked sense of humor and ‘was always one step ahead of us in the jokes’. Too witty, grandad.
I miss him.
But he’s in a better place now.

Can’t wait for P.E tomorrow (:
Yesterday, I had art. I don’t know why, but I always end up talking about Twitter when I’m in art class. Social Studies is lame. The teacher is cool, but the subject is killing me. I don’t really want to pursue a career along those lines – but if it’s a good subject, it’s a good subject.
After Social Studies, I had maths. My name was on the board, because some of my homework was overdue, so I rubbed out some letters to make my name say, “Tia”. Sad thing is, there’s a Tia in my class (:
I also had cricket practice yesterday. I hit the ball right at my friend’s knee, and it bruised her! Her bruise even looked like a cricket ball, too. I felt so bad! It was so random, the coach was hitting softballs to us. I’m not sure what that has to do with cricket, but it was sore xD I remember one time, at my old school, I got owned in the nose by a softball. It hurt.
But today, while I was in form class, I heard these two girls having a conversation in Tongan! I thought it was really cool that they could talk casually like that. Unlike my French class, where we say cool things like, “at 2 o’clock, I have English. I like English. It’s amusing” – stuff like that. We need to learn things to help us survive in France – we don’t need to learn phrases to confuse the locals
I can’t believe it’s nearly the end of the year. Incredible.
I hope high school just doesn’t go by in a blur. Because I’ll be out on my ownnnn D: Actually, university – then out on my own
I guess I need to make the most of high school, because time goes too fast. A bit too fast for my liking. I’m not going to pull out of school. Waste of time doing that. I know a lot of girls in my year are going to do so when they’re old enough – but it’s a seriously silly idea. I can’t imagine what types of jobs those girls might have. Will they become window washers? Probably.
I don’t know, I don’t want to start talking like my teacher
Or my principal, lol. Every Friday at assembly, we sit in the hall. We have to stand up, wait for her to get up on stage and walk to the podium. She then says, “school, sit”. And we sit. At the end of assembly, she says, “school stand”. I don’t know why I brought it up in the first place, but I’m not sure of the point of the whole, “school stand/sit” thing.
And I’m not really sure about this drawing. Social Studies got boring, so I started the picture
But, I have school in the morning – and hopefully a game of softball (: So, goodnight

The main character from 'Cardcaptors', a show I loved as a child.
Twitter gets us interested. Twitter makes us curious.
Twitter sparks inspiration.
You know, in the weekend, Twitter inspired me to watch YouTube videos for four hours.
Wait. Came out wrong.
Twitter inspired me to watch YouTube videos for five hours.
Or something.
#backinthedaycartoon was trending, so I had a quick think about it, and wrote “Cardcaptors”. I seriously loved that show as a child. I went straight to YouTube, and looked for some old episodes. Whaddya know. Turns out there are like, 70 of them. The internet is so powerful, and I guess I take it for granted. I don’t know how many times it has helped me with maths, science, english – sometimes I think text books are irrelevant.
Fairy parade (yay, subject change).
Last Friday, my class was in a fairy parade. We dressed up as fairies (go figure) and marched through the hall. My friend, Toni, and I walked out on the stage together, and chucked out lollies (: It was so fun. Really awkward when the girls started yelling for lollies, but cool. My english teacher also filmed the whole parade. Maybe one day, I’ll look back at the video, laugh – and quickly change the subject
Talk about awkward, today my friends and I were playing handball. And, because one of my friends is really short, I thought I’d make the ball go high. So, I went to smack the ball really hard on the ground, and it came straight up and hit my face. I played it cool though
Even this morning, at P.E. We went across the road to the rectory field (nothing special, just a big field). And because it’s on the main road, I was waving at people driving past! I got a few waves, someone beeped their horn, and someone leaned out of their window, and did that sign with their hand (one that looks like a telephone (LOL, I don’t know what it’s called)). I felt so triumphant at that moment, that without thinking, I put my fists in the air.
I realized what I had just done, and went to hide behind my friend.
And that’s really all for now (: More handball stories tomorrow! (And cricket stories)
Ohh!! My friends and I have this spot where we play handball, and one of the caretakers may have noticed where we play, and after school he was putting tape on the ground to paint lines for handball! I’m glad my friends and I have left some sort of mark on the school

A couple of days ago, while I was issuing a library book, I encountered a group of girls.
This group of girls may be the most avoided, criticized, talked about group of girls at my school. They’re actually not that scary. They’re just … them. I wont talk about why people don’t like them, but it makes me wonder why people can be so judging. At least there’re quite a lot of girls in their ‘group’ – they can really tough it out. I dunno, it’s kinda sad that people are so quick to skip to conclusions about others. Whether it be the style of their hair, clothes etc.
Even today, two girls had a full on fist fight. One walked away with a bleeding eye. Is conflict really worth a bleeding eye? (Maybe, in Shane Cameron’s fight, his bleeding eye earned him a few hundred thousand bux). But that’s beside the point!
Being in a school full of girls is tiring.
Lots of arguing, over dramatizing, bullying – you get my drift. It should all stop! Nao!!
I guess I made the right choices when I chose my friends. No drama. No carrying on. No nothing. Everything’s sweet as. None of us have ever gotten into any fights or odd situations.
Haha, speaking of odd situations, my class has a fairy parade tomorrow. Basically, a bunch of teenage girls dress up as fairies, and walk around in front of the older girls. Embarrassing awesome!! So tomorrow, I’m going to concentrate not on my outfit, but on not falling on my face (: Because of experience, I’ve mastered the art of face planting ;D
Again, I need to finish off my post with meaningfulness ((:
Hmm, don’t be judging of others, don’t bully and NEVER, ever ever ever, do a face plant in front of 250 girls who are older than you.
That is all.

Well, anything can be turned into a blog post, but health got really boring, and well … awkward.
I was so happy when the teacher let us watch Benchwarmers! That movie is classic
The only thing that bothered me was that the girls in my class wouldn’t stop talking. I can’t see why they can’t just take in the film, appreciate the humor and stop talking to their neighbour(s).
When someone talks, someone says, “sshhh” then that person is shushed – and so on. Like, hello! Trying to enjoy Benchwarmers! I don’t know. Lol, must be me.
The girl I drew in the green pen basically represents girls. We talk. A bit much.
I was actually jotting down quotes from the movie, and found this one to be quite cool:
“Young one, life is too short to harbour hate.”
No one would think a quote like that would come from Benchwarmers – but I heard it. Not sure if any of the other girls in my class heard it, but I did (:
Just yesterday, we celebrated my sister’s birthday. This quote (sadly) associates with me:
“I’m already on my third candy bar! Mother would not approve this!”
I actually felt kinda stink when I snuck some M&Ms, lol. But the birthday party was really cool (:
But anyway, back on topic! When the room filled with noise – I wrote “people wont sshhh”. I think I’m starting to ‘update my status’ on the paper. How sad am I? Apparently Twitter is accessible on the new computers – but I wont dare go on Twitter. I’d get in trouble! Not worried so much about going on Twitter, just scared of the teacher. Lol
How can I end this post in a smart and meaningful way? (lol?) Uhh, let’s try:
“Life is too short to harbour hate”, be kind to others and Benchwarmers FTW.
Good enough.

A cloudless, blue sky. The sun shining down on me. A book in hand. Yuss!
An earsplitting scream echoes through the court. “Omg, omg, omg, someone’s dying!!”, I think to myself.
I whiz round to find two girls hugging. “Wow”, I think, “I bet they haven’t seen each other in what? Five minutes?!”
Ugh, sometimes girls can act weird. I’m in a school full of ‘em. Some are cool, quirky, sporty and arty. Some girls hug each other every five minutes? (Random fact – hugging your friends was banned at my last school. Lol, the teachers thought it was weird too).
Lol, anyway. That was just my coolio story that happened only yesterday.
I finished this drawing today
We had a reliever for French, and there was some work to be done – it was written on the board. So when I finished my work, I picked up this drawing again, and started adding to it. The teacher waltzed up and scoffed, “that doesn’t look like work to me!” My heart stopped, lol. Iwas like, “no, no, nooooo! Here, Miss!!”
*Holds up French work*
I was relieved when she nodded briefly, and walked back to her desk. Phew! xD It’s really quite sad when teachers talk to you like you’re a little kid. It’s even sadder when you’re not a little kid, lol. I don’t know what the teachers are thinking at the time, but they look awfully silly when they do that.
I know I felt awfully silly at cricket practice today. I’ve never played the sport, but my P.E teacher sent me along. Cricket is such a foreign sport! Well, to me. But I’ve been playing hockey for years – the two sports are totally different. Hehe, when me and my friend were up for batting, I put on the shin pads – and to my disgust, they were sweaty. I mumbled, “these sweats are paddy”. Haha, my face turned redder than the cricket balls on the pitch.
Between me, you, and the cricket team – I went for a bowl, and the ball completely missed the cage, and hit my coach’s car. I whistled and walked away. Lol, kidding.
Cricket was quite interesting, as were the last few days I’ve had.
Squealing girls, (nearly) broken windshields, scary French relievers and sweaty shin pads (blurgh)!!
What next?!

Just had a random dose of inspiration. Or maybe it was the vitamins.
Idk.
Hey (: This picture actually started out in black and white, but I thought I’d add colour. Why not? (: Oh, at the time I was drawing this, I was eating some Whittaker’s chocolate – that has 72% cocoa in it. So I just wrote 72% COCOA up the side. I’m cool like that. And, that chocolate was very, very bitter o_O I quite like the flowers on the left side (: And that random flower up the top is weird – I like to fill spaces up with words now. I added flower power because I can, hehe ((: I’m kinda happy(ish) because it’s mufti day tomorrow! Oh, lol – because it’s a school night (BOO) I have to go to bed soon!!
So good night, and I hope you like my drawing!

“Those eagle eggs were a lie, Steven. A lie! They give me no eagle powers! They give me no nutrients!”
“Sorry” – Nacho Libre
Hehe
I loved doing this, random, thingy! It took me like a week to finish – I was being lazy, lol. But I’d be watching TV, and see something funny – so I’d incorporate it into this ‘thingy’. Like, we were watching Nacho Libre, and I added a few quotes – see if you can see them (: There’s even a spelling mistake – not too proud of that, but can you see it? Because I spend a lot of time on YouTube, watching a lot of funny vids (who doesn’t?), I ended up adding different sayings from YT videos, such as the Ninja Glare and the Top 60 Ghetto Names – me and @Ainzzee can say number 2, lol ((: We spent our time in French class learning how to say it – we’re cool kids
Oh, if you can read the acronym under ‘Twilight’ – don’t hate me. Actually, I don’t think you can read it, lol. Not that legible.
D: It’s the last week of the holidays! But – it’ll be the last term for ‘09!! Kinda dreading/looking forward to the end of the year.
So, here’s a couple of questions: what are your favourite things to do in the holidays, and what is the funniest YT video you’ve ever come across??

Ahh, RuneScape.
I remember when I used to nerd it out on this game. Wait, I still do.
Haha, jokes
But I supposed it was like the ultimate thing for me the be procrastinatin’ on when I was in primary school
But the graphics are actually quite amazing, and I can’t believe it’s available for free. I wonder how hard it is to do the coding and everything for RuneScape
Must take foreverrrrr
But now I have a new site that I tend to be on too much. Yep, Twitter! Follow me – @sketchfanatic

Naw, just look at the block letters and their crooked lined glory.
I’ve never been good at block letters, lol. Probably never will be
tsk tsk
Hey, I did the beach run today! The whole school lined up on one side of Awapuni Stadium. We all started the race at the same time! 900-umpting girls wailing through a stadium isn’t cool. But you know what? The race was really fun ((: All goods.
We ran about 2km down the beach, and ended up past the JetSprint area. How the teachers lied. It’s not far, not far at all! Not far by car, maybe. All goods.
Running in tights wasn’t a good idea. My whole outfit was black! (house colours)
In science, we learnt that the colour black absorbs more heat. Today it was really hot. Lol, get my drift .. ? Ahh well, all goods mate!
Don’t worry, this is just my sad attempt at brainwashing you
All goods. All goods. All goods.
While everyone was having a good ol’ larf, I actually started thinking. Thinking back on the different school events we’ve had. Swimming sports. Athletics day. The beach run.
I think it’s real awesome that everyone gets involved. A few girls in my year dressed up in a big caterpillar suit! They even got a really good placing for the run. I love how people paint their arms, paint their faces, paint their friend’s faces. Today, in the stadium, I dunno .. there was a positive energy. I sound like some kind of fortune teller, but there was definitely a positive energy. A kind of energy that flowed out of the stadium, down the beach, out to Young Nick’s Head. And back.
I know I sound uber lame, but that’s my way of describing it, lol (: Well, I’m just full of wisdomosity tonight, aren’t I? To tell you the truth, that’s really all I’ve got, lol ((: So seeya later
And remember, when you’re feeling really, really down, just think back to my awesome blog post. Haha, and remember – all goods.
